As I was seeking God about what He is saying for 2014, He spoke to me and said, “It’s a season to reinforce the fundamentals and to secure the foundations.” I asked the Lord why we needed to do this. He replied, “Because these are shaky times and if they don’t strengthen the foundations, as I am shaking the nations, their lives will be shaken too.” Only God’s foundation will stand, only what He has built remains.
So in your life and ministry focus closely on the fundamentals and foundations; don’t let them be little in your eyes. A little leaven of neglect will compromise and weaken the foundations. Bypassing them is not profitable either because it leaves people ignorant of the ways of God and allows devils to steal, kill, and destroy from them. It’s always the little foxes that spoil the vine, isn’t it?
In the name of Jesus I admonish you, don’t make any excuses about this.
Just because you go to church, doesn’t mean you have a foundation. Devils go to church too.
Just because you believe in God, doesn’t mean you have a strong foundation. Satan believes and trembles.
Just because you listen to Christian radio, and watch Christian Television doesn’t mean you carry a firm foundation.
Just because you’re a Preacher’s Kid doesn’t mean you have a foundation.
Just because you’ve been born again, and speak in tongues doesn’t mean you have a foundation.
God is building His house a certain way — with Truth. The Scriptures teach that God’s Throne is established on justice and righteousness, and these are founded on His truth.
His word is Truth.
Jesus is the Way, The Truth, and the Life.
Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth.
They that worship God must worship Him in Spirit and Truth.
Settle this in your spirit: “Let God be true and every man a liar.”
God gives commandments and they are truth. The Old Covenant is full of commandments so that when old covenant believers obeyed and did them, God powerfully manifested Himself to His people. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. In the New Covenant, He (Christ) fulfilled all the law of God. He didn’t do away with all of it as some like to teach, but He satisfied God’s requirement for your salvation in His death, burial and resurrection. Now, in the New Covenant Christ gave us this new commandment: That you love one another. Loving people, loving one another is foundational, and needs to be reinforced and secured in the Body of Christ.
To reinforce means to strengthen. You strengthen the fundamentals by teaching them all the time as the Spirit leads. We are not speaking of theological doctrinal debates, which unfortunately lead to religious traditions that block the power of God. Religious spirits always pervert what’s written and use it to seduce, manipulate, intimidate, and dominate people. Many shrines, networks, and denominations have been built because of religion’s cunning craftiness. They brought much confusion, division, and strife in the Body of Christ.
We are referring to Truth revealed in Scripture, and Truth quickened by the Holy Spirit, the fundamentals the Holy Ghost emphasized in ours and earlier generations.
We are a new generation that cannot afford to lose the fundamentals and foundations.
Remember the Pioneers
The end of the 20th century was marked with the passing of several pioneers in the faith. pioneers in the faith are those who trail blazed spiritual truth and paid the price for its establishment. We are just continuing what the Holy Ghost used them in.
Likewise, the beginning of the 21st century was also marked with the loss of pioneers in the faith and others will follow to be with our Lord. Remember what they did and follow their faith. God wants those foundations to be reinforced and secured in you and future generations so that the moves of God continue from glory to glory.
To secure means, to value and guard the foundations so that they are not stolen or lost.
Preacher, it’s your responsibility to know, teach, preach and manifest the fundamentals, like: The Ministry of the Holy Spirit, Judgment, Resurrection from the dead, Faith towards God, Holiness, etc. Minister them in the power of the Holy Ghost and see the signs and wonders. Without fundamentals there’s no foundation. God said, with no foundation, you’ll shake along with the world as He shaking them. God is going to strip them to lay bare and to expose their foundations and what’s in their heart. Don’t be like them. The only thing that doesn’t shake is a firm foundation.
Major in What the Enemy Tries to Minor
Make no mistake. Do not mock the foundations by saying that’s just too basic for me, or I’m way past that. That’s a boastful heart that God is not pleased with. Instead, humble yourself, because you don’t know everything you need to know. It’s the enemy who tempts people to diminish the fundamentals and the foundation. You should contend for the faith that was once delivered unto us.
Ask yourself these questions: Am I way past self-denial, that I don’t need to apply it anymore? Or Baptism in the Holy Ghost? Faith towards God? Evangelism? Prayer without ceasing? Loving one another? Sanctification? Am I a doer of the Word?
No one is beyond any foundation of the Kingdom of God. So don’t allow the enemy to minor what God majors. Decide today that you’ll reinforce Christ’s fundamentals and secure the foundations as God instructed.
